Here at Stealth Motorsport we recognise the high demands placed upon your engine, gearbox, differential and bearings and that even the best lubrication may not be sufficient to meet those needs. Whether it is an improvement in reliability, performance or economy then we recommend choosing a friction reducer, such as the Extralube range of products, that will withstand extreme pressure and temperature without film lubrication failure and reduce metal to metal friction to extremely low levels. Through many years of experience, trials and testing we have found what we hole heartedly believe are the products which actually perform as advertised and have selected the very best for our customers. There are many products out there which have little or no benefit and, in some cases, cause more harm than good.

When used as directed at approx. 5% dilution in the engine and/or manual gearbox oil (2.5% for automatics), on road going vehicles, we have seen average improvements in economy of 3.5% with the treatment of the engine alone and better than 6% when both the engine and transmission are treated. Further to those improvements when the parts were disassembled and inspected we noted an almost complete absence of wear witness marks or measurable changes in tolerances with engines and gearboxes that have been exposed to extreme race conditions where protected by ZX1.

In use Extralube ZX1 friction reducer bonds at a molecular level to the wearing surfaces using long molecule nano-technology which has no solids or thickeners and, unlike other lesser oil additives, does not alter clearance tolerances by a measurable amount. ZX1 acts as a metal conditioner and is delivered to the bearings and working surfaces using the oil as a carrier rather than altering the characteristics of the oil using solids or thickening agents.

The benefit of not adding viscosity (by thickening the oil) or solids is that oil flow rate is maintained allowing the engine and gearbox to perform as designed and preventing poor lubrication at start-up when most wear is evident without ZX1. Oil flow is vital in both engines and gearbox's to maintain consistent lubrication and oil temperature across the parts and avoid damaging hot, cold or 'dry' spots. Once ZX1 has bonded to the working surfaces it remains active for up to 5 engine oil changes so therefore provides excellent value. In addition the tenacity of the long molecule nano-technology bonding characteristics provide the very best possible cold start-up protection.
